Three-finger drag to move windows is disabled by default and buried in Accessibility settings
You heard you can move windows by dragging with three fingers on the trackpad, which sounds amazing. But it doesn't work at all. You checked Trackpad settings and it's not there. Turns out it's hidden in a completely different settings section for no obvious reason.
Why does this happen?
Three-finger drag was moved from Trackpad settings to Accessibility settings, and it's disabled by default. It's one of the most useful trackpad gestures and the most obscure to find.
How to fix it
1
System Settings → Accessibility → Pointer Control → Trackpad Options.
2
Enable Use trackpad for dragging and set the style to Three-Finger Drag.
3
Note: enabling this means three-finger swipe to switch desktops won't work — use four-finger swipe for Mission Control instead.
